The campsite is the start of the two hikes on the western slope of the Rooiberg. The River Hiking trail takes an hour and follows the contour lines above the Rondegat river, and gives a good overview onto the farm. The Rooiberg Hiking trail leads up onto the Rooiberg. Along this 3.5 hour trail one discovers numerous herbs and rooibos plants. The Geelhoutskloof hiking trail is an interpretation trail, where one can identify and learn the names of different fynbos species and trees.
To hike up to the waterfall at Algeria takes about one hour. Crystal clear water and a breathtaking view reward you for this hike.
Bushman paintings can be seen at several nearby places. In the neighboring valley a popular attraction is located: The rockpool Maalgat.

Other attractions in the Cedermountains are the historical mission station at Wupperthal. After about 1.5 hours drive one reaches the beautiful white beach of Lambert´s Bay. Here one gets the best crayfish.
